Rishikesan Kamaleswaran is a doctoral candidate and research assistant at the Health Informatics Research Laboratory, UOIT, Oshawa. He is also a long standing Research Fellow at the Division of Neonatology, Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. He received his Honours degree in B.HSc. in Health Information Management and M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University Of Ontario Institute Of Technology. His contributions in Health Informatics have been published in the conferences of: IEEE Engineering in Medicine Biology Society, ACM International Health Informatics Symposium, IEEE and ACM Computer Based Medical System, and the Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering. He was invited speaker at the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference at San Diego.
His research interests are in information visualization to support critical care, real-time temporal algorithms, knowledge translation and data analytics. He is also the current Chair of the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Student Club at UOIT. He has participated as an executive member and publication coordinator for Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Western Ontario, London, and the UOIT Graduate Student Research Conference.
