FBIT Student Society

The purpose of this survey is to gain a better understanding of the values of students in the Faculty of
Business and Information technology. We are trying to gain insight on how students would feel to an
additional fee included in their yearly tuition that will help support the faculties’ student run clubs. This
feel will provide additional funding to a new governing council which will oversee all academic clubs by
allocating funding and providing support. Academic clubs within our faculty are necessary because they
not only provide students with vital networking opportunities but they also represent our school on various academic events against some of the top universities in the region. The ability for our school to provide every opportunity to do well at these events depends on the support from the student body as well as the faculty. The FBIT has proposed that this governing council be created in order to provide that much needed support.

Participation in the study is voluntary and you may withdraw at any time. If you choose to participate, the
estimated time to complete the online questionnaire is ten minutes. The online questionnaire will be made available to students over a two-week period. Completion of the online questionnaire will indicate your consent to participate in the study.

This survey is anonymous.
The record kept of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you unless a specific question in the survey has asked for this. If you have responded to a survey that used an identifying token to allow you to access the survey, you can rest assured that the identifying token is not kept with your responses. It is managed in a separate database, and will only be updated to indicate that you have (or haven't) completed this survey. There is no way of matching identification tokens with survey responses in this survey.
